Isaiah turns 4.
This little stinker of ours turned FOUR this year! He is the silliest, sweetest, yet naughtiest boy I know. He is a lot of work and requires an unrealistic amount of patience that I just don’t always have. He isn’t the best listener. In fact, he’s the worst listener, but I love him with my entire heart.
We had family over for dinner, cake, and ice cream! He was really most excited to have a Spiderman cake. He was cute and even to this day still talks about it and asks me, “How did you even make that cake?” He is so easy to please. Sometimes. Grandpa Bowman was going to be in Mexico on his birthday, so we celebrated it a few days early with them and they got him an oreo cake and LOTS of balls, like a box full. He was over the moon, me… um, well I hate like cleaning them out from underneath the couch on a regular basis. Isaiah was able to receive lots of great love and gifts on his birthday from those that are near and dear to him. He was spoiled. He got to go to bed with Wesley, but was pretty angry with me when he woke up the next morning and found himself in his own bed (it was for his own good though, and Wesley’s).
I love you Zuzah Wuzah. More than you will ever know. I like your cute voice and all of the many words you pronounce so uniquely because of that super cool under bite that you own. Who knows how many days it will be before you become a teenager and then an adult. I want these days to last. Because someday… I will wish that I could have one more day, regardless of what you would have up your sleeve. Your bug adventures, your attitude, your soft, tender heart, and even granting the cold showers you earn. (Maybe not that one). Stay small, stay oh so veryyyyy small. Please know and remember this… I am still as grateful for you TODAY as I was the day that we found out I was pregnant with you. Isaiah, you are such a miracle in our life.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
On Valentines day this year, we enjoyed showering each other with LOVE!The kids had a great day at school and the Valentines that Aaron and I stayed up making (until midnight the night before) were well worth it. We peeled and melted crayons in some heart molds! They turned out super cute! They said “Happy Valentines day for ‘CRAYON’ out loud”. We were overstocked with used crayons, so this really helped with that.
Emma was super cute at school with her heart hairdo and her good friend Jimmy brought her a Valentine to the house that he made with hearts and lace! It was super cute! Aaron and I made home-made heart shaped pizza for dinner for the kids! I think they loved it and thought it was fun.
Samuel helped me make some chocolate covered strawberries for Wesley’s class party! We got the kids a couple fun surprises because we kind of like them…
I absolutely LOVE when the kids make me their very own Valentine’s day cards! They mean the world to me. This is when the most tender, most kindest words come out of their mouths. I love their artwork and just love that they love me!
The kids were pretty excited to see where we were headed when Dad and I packed a lunch and took them on a like hiking adventure. Aaron and I like to ride our mountain bikes back here, so we decided to take the kids for a picnic in a secretive fun spot! The kids were able to skip rocks, climb on the rocks, eat lunch (which included sandwiches, juice bags, and cheetos!).
After our fun family day, we came home and made the kids delicious pizza! We had a blast. Then we put Samuel to bed and put a movie on for the other three. We gave them a phone and disappeared for an hour or so. We went to the Cedar View and ate a delicious dinner together. It’s always fun to spend some quality time, even if it is only an hour…. with the love of my life. He is really amazing and I don’t always act like it, but I am definitely the luckiest wife in the world! Our love for one another, both friends and family, should be celebrated as often as possible. I love each and everyone of you that are a part of my life and I am so very far beyond grateful for you. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Formation Springs. AKA: Garden of Eden
A few years ago, we took a childhood friend of mine to Formation Springs here in Soda Springs. She appreciates nature as much as my family. Anyways, she was convinced that this was the Garden of Eden. These pictures were taken in February, when we were really anxious for some spring weather. The moss growth along the trails and the water’s edges was absolutely beautiful. The water was as clear as glass. Our family had really been craving a little time away in mother nature. It was cold and the adventure didn’t last as long as the kids would have liked, but we sure had fun together.
Emma’s dance recital.
Emma did such an excellent job at her dance recital. She has loved her first year of dancing with Just For Kix. She was funny. The night of the recital, we were told to put makeup on the girls so that they didn’t look washed out on the floor. Emma was pretty furious with me for making her wear a little bit of mascara. She is NOT a fan of makeup, nail polish, or earrings. At first, I was sad about these things, but then I decided that she was comfortable with who she was and that she should stay little for as long as she can because it’s only a matter of tomorrows before she is all grown up. She is a great example to me and I love her very much! She likes to choreograph new dances with props from her bedroom and put on shows for us. Dance is sure a passion of hers and I look forward to watching her dance for years to come!

Winter Wonderland.
The kids love to go to the geyser anytime of year to play, but we all especially love to go explore the area in the winter. It is so beautiful. The icicles, colors, and textures are seriously amazing!
